The hub is one of the most important security parts on the car,the intrinsic quality and reliability of hub are not only related to the safety of personnel vehicles and car supplies,but also affect the stability,control,comfort and other performance of vehicles in running.Die Casting Technology can effectively improve the productivity and quality of hub.The advanced design methods such as CAD and CAE have realized the design of aluminum alloy automotive hub,the design of die-casting die and the simulation of molding process have become the necessary means.Aluminum alloy wheel hub with large windows can reduce the weight of wheel hub and realize lightweight,but it also brings difficulty to the forming process design.In this paper,the modeling design and the reliability analysis of a certain type of hub are completed.The finite element simulation of the die design and the casting process are carried out,and the trial production of the product and the performance test of the product are carried out.In this paper,using 3D modeling software to design the shape of a hub.In order to verify the structural reliability of the wheel hub,the impact test,bending fatigue test and radial fatigue test were carried out.The low-pressure die-casting mold was designed and the AnyCasting finite element simulation software was used to simulate the forming process.Analysis of the filling process,residual melt and solidification and other issues,so that the casting in accordance with the center hole,the middle hub,spokes,rims,rims in the order of filling.Design a suitable mold to trial production of aluminum alloy wheels,the macro-mechanical properties and micro-structure of different parts of the aluminum wheel hub were observed and analyzed.Through three typical performance tests,the wheel hub impact,fatigue and other aspects of performance were tested.The performance of wheel impact and fatigue was tested by 3 typical performance tests.The test results show that both the modeling design and the die casting process can meet the technical requirements.
