As an important part of modem manufacturing industry,machining center only with rich processing function has been unable to meet the demand.Making it have the function of measurement has become the development trend of modern machining centers.On-machine measurement technology is the technology that workpiece is arranged on the table directly without unloading,the cutter is changed into a probe for measurement.It not only uses the automation and high precision of the NC machining center,but also avoids the influence of the non-coincident datum on the measuring precision.And,on-machine measurement can be convenient for the measurement of the process,timely detect errors in the processing,and quickly corrected.On-machine measurement of Machining center can reduce waste,save the cost,shorten the processing cycle and ensure the machining accuracy.Aiming at the five axis boring and milling machining center,the paper determined overall research project of the machine measurement system.From the overall hardware structure this paper analyzed the various components of the on-machine measurement system,clarified the link and function of each part,focused on the probe system s composition,working principle and the function in the whole on-machine measurement system.According to the design task of the system the paper analyzed the function that required to achieve on on-machine measuring software,and it is divided into four function modules:operation monitoring part,part of the operation of machine tool,document operation part and measuring part.The overall structure of the software was identified by each module's function and the link between the modules.Based on the classification of the measurement items,the paper studied the planning of measurement path and data processing algorithms.According to the feature of part type and geometry,the measurement of the software was divided into basic modules.For each measurement item,the paper planned the location of the measuring points and measuring path.According to the measurement path as short as possible,measurement path was optimized.This paper research on the method of sub data processing based on the definition of error and evaluation criteria.For each measurement item,this paper studied the data processing algorithm flow and coordinate data conversion algorithms for graph,through the analysis of the data,calculate the error and coordinate data conversion for graphics and display of measured point and error diagram.We treated it as the basis of software development.Based on VC++6.0 the paper developed the on-machine measurement system software,and took the measurement of three different parts as an example,researched the measurement process and data processing of on-machine measurement system.The measurement procedure was generated according to the path planning of different measurement projects,and the measuring path was edited into a numerical control programming language,which can complete the specific measurement process on the machine tool.Based on the previous analysis of the data processing algorithm,data processing part edited into the program language,can complete the measurement data import,processing,and finally get the error difference and graphics display error area.The feasibility and accuracy of the software system were verified by the experimental results.Aiming at the five axis milling machining center,from hardware and software aspects,the paper identified overall scheme,studied sub measuring path planning and data processing algorithm,on which the on-machine measurement software developed and experiments verified its feasibility and accuracy.
