In the New Curriculum Reform in China, some innovation requirements for the educational concept, the curriculum standard as well as the teaching method are put forward. In "The Professional Standards for Middle School Teachers 'Trial' " issued by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in February 2012,a number of standards are put forward according to the professional development of teachers and the requirement of the New Curriculum Reform.Among them, the seventh standard means that a new generation of teachers are required to grasp the new curriculum standard, the teaching content and the learning difference among students in terms of the Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK).These requirements bring new challenges to the teaching ability of teachers, especially the professional knowledge ability of new teachers.Compared with the teachers with many years of teaching experience, new teachers have more advanced teaching ideas and mastered the modern multimedia teaching technique. However, they still have some deficiencies such as the insufficient understanding of the learning status of students, the fragile subject professional knowledge and the unfamiliar teaching material. In order to make the students from normal universities and colleges to adapt to the requirements of the New Curriculum Reform and cultivate innovative teachers,it is necessary to investigate the status of the training of the subject teaching knowledge of the students from normal colleges and universities, and provide some effective guidance for the mode to train the students from normal colleges and universities. In the research, the senior students from Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Normal College majoring in Chemistry are taken as the research object. The questionnaire survey method is adopted to score the status of the subject teaching knowledge of the students from normal colleges and universities.SPSS 19 is used to deal with the questionnaire data, and the Independent-Sample T Test is used to comparatively study the PCK of the senior students from Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Normal College. The result shows that there are significant differences in the status of PCK between Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Normal College.(1)The average score of the chemical PCK components of the senior students from Guizhou Normal University was between 3.97 and 4.26,and the average score of Guizhou Normal College was between 3.91 and 4.13.The average score of the chemical PCK components of the senior students from Guizhou Normal University is higher than that of the senior students from Guizhou Normal College.(2)The senior students from Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Normal College do not know enough about the requirements for the implementation of the New Curriculum Reform, and the combination between the curriculum standard and the teaching content is poor.(3)There are differences among different normal colleges and universities in terms of the educational power and the training method.According to the above research result, some suggestions are put forward to solve some problems about the subject teaching knowledge:(1)It necessary for the students majoring in Chemistry to expand their professional knowledge and organize all kinds of skill competitions for teachers to improve their teaching level.(2)Increase the teacher training course, learn the new curriculum teaching idea and update the knowledge about Chemistry Course.(3)Organize the students from normal universities and colleges to carry out the teaching research and cultivate the teaching and research ability of new teachers.(4)Create the Chemical PCK Database to enrich the content of chemical PCK.
