The purpose of this research is to realize the radiation dose level of patients in the DR(Digital Radiograpgy)examination by measuring the entrance surface dose(ESD)and estimating the effective dose(E).It can provide practical reference for retrospective investigation of the radiation dose and the determination of radiation dose guidance level of the patients.It can accelerate working for decreasing radiation dose of the patients.It has a certain guiding role for DR quality control and DR diagnosis technology.And it can provide reference for the domestic research and development of advanced DR,thus reducing the radiation dose to the patients at the source.This study is mainly divided into two steps:First,select the most excellent experimental objects.A total of 42 medical DRs were selected for this detection.According to detection specification about image quality control of the medical standard X-ray diagnostic equipment(WS76-2017),the selected DRs were detected for 10 related detection items.The results showed that a total of 6 DRs met all ten criteria.The second step is to measure and estimate the radiation dose of the patients.The entrance surface dose(ESD)measurement of the patients in DR examination included eight items(the following data corresponded to this order): abdomen(AP),pelvis(AP),chest(PA),(LAT),thoracic vertebrae(PA),(LAT)and lumbar(PA),(LAT).Using thermoluminescence dosimeter(TLD)to detect the patient ESD of each examine item on site.The results were as follows: The tube voltage and tube current time product used were 77.8,72.5,95.0,109.2,70.2,80.8,77.8,83.0 kV and 38.5,25.2,22.8,30.5,32.2,43.3,60.4,73.0mAs,respectively.The ESD and E estimated by the CALDose_X were 2.83,2.03,and 0.87,1.53,4.15,5.63,6.54,8.75 mGy/time and 0.94,0.24,0.08,0.17,0.17,0.21,0.19,0.33 mSv,respectively.After statistical analysis and comparison,the following conclusions are drawn: ESD of the patients estimated by CALDose_X is higher than that of ESD measured by TLD.The radiation doses of patients caused by different types DR are different,and the main manifestation is that the radiation dose of the patients caused by the domestic DR is higher than that of the imported equipment.The radiation dose of the patients caused by the DR examination of the secondary hospital is higher than the tertiary hospitals.Compared with the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” period,the data from this survey show that the radiation dose level of the patients has been significantly reduced.Compared with the levels surveyed in Suzhou City in 2014,except for the ESD of the abdomen(AP)and the pelvis(AP),there was no significant difference with this survey(P>0.05).For the other six examine items,this survey data was higher.Comparing with the similar studies of Pagan L et al.in foreign countries,although there was no significant difference in patients radiation dose at abdomen(AP)(P>0.05).Radiation dose levels of the patients at the pelvis(AP),chest(AP),chest(LAT),lumbar(AP),and lumbar(LAT)all indicated higher in this survey.
