The deteriorating environment and energy depletion have been the focus of attention in today's society. In order to ease the pressure brought by the energy and the environment, it is urgent to find a new kind of energy. Currently, nuclear energy as a new energy has been widely used in industry, medicine and agriculture etc. In recent years, with the rapid development our country's economy, nuclear facilities and nuclear devices are increasing in number and size. At the same time, using Nuclear Instruments to monitor Radiation has become an important part of avoiding nuclear radiation damage to the human body and nuclear pollution to environment. However, most of the nuclear equipment used in China mainly rely on import, and is expensive. The domestic nuclear equipment can not meet people's needs. Therefore, the development of high-performance nuclear equipment has very important significance.By observing domestic and international status and development trend of nuclear equipment, for overcoming currently existing shortages that it is not universal, small-scale, bulky and complicated to operate and other shortcomings, Based on advanced nuclear detection technology and electronic Science and Technology, developed aγ-dosimeter host based on SCM technology, which can be adapted to a variety of portable wide range probe. According to the principle of theγ-ray detection, the instrument use a GM counter with the advantages of high sensitivity, linearity and consistency, short response time as detector elements. Hardware module design basing on MSP430F149 microcontroller include signal acquisition and processing module, man-machine interface module, serial communication module, A/D acquisition module, power module, storage module and alarm module,etc.On the basic principle of hardware design and y radiation dosimeter of each function module, the software design, signal sampling and processing and the feedback of the results were achieved. Fully considering many details of instrument design, the accuracy and reliability of the measurement can be ensured.Through the system's hardware and software development, the measurement of environment radiation intensity and radiation dose is basically realized. The equipment is small, light weight, low background, low power consumption, good man-machine interface and high accuracy.
