With the rapid development of industry, the demand for anticorrosive coatings is becoming more and more larger in the world, but environmental problems are becoming increasingly prominent,so it is inevitable to develop water-based anticorrosive coatings as the main force of the next generation of anticorrosive coatings. In waterborne anticorrosive coatings, waterborne resins and water-based curing agents directly determine the anticorrosive properties of waterborne anticorrosive coatings. This paper is committed to developing a waterborne coating that can match the solvent based coating on corrosion resistance. It is mainly carried out in two aspects:preparation of waterborne epoxy resin and titanium ion crosslinking agent. In this paper, waterborne acrylic-epoxy resin emulsion, waterborne p-aminobenzoic acid-epoxy resin solution and titanium ion crosslinking agent were prepared respectively. The most important thing is to use titanium ion crosslinking agent to solidify waterborne epoxy resin to prepare anticorrosive coating.(1)The preparation of waterborne acrylic epoxy resin emulsion is to graft three acrylic monomers(butyl acrylate, methacrylic acid and styrene)onto epoxy resin molecules. At the same time, the influence of choice of epoxy resin, solvent selection, reaction temperature and holding time on emulsion polymerization experiment were investigated. In addition,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)is used to test the waterborne acrylic epoxy resin emulsion prepared by the best scheme and confirmed that acrylic acid monomer was successfully grafted into epoxy resin molecules. The experimental results show that the obtained waterborne resin has excellent stability.(2)Waterborne p-aminobenzoic acid-epoxy resin solution is prepared through the epoxide ring grafting of p-aminobenzoic acid onto epoxy resin. The influence of factors such as resin, solvent, reaction temperature and holding time on the experiment is determined in the experiment. The FTIR test of the obtained aqueous epoxy solution showed that p-aminobenzoic acid was successfully grafted into epoxy resin with excellent stability.(3)Titanium ion crosslinking agent is mainly obtained by triethanolamine or polyol chelate four butyl titanate. The titanium ion crosslinker prepared by FTIR and UV visible spectrophotometer determine that triethanolamine and polyol can chelate four butyl titanate successfully and the titanium ion crosslinker is prepared with hydrolysis stability.(4)The waterborne anticorrosive coating was prepared by that the waterborne acrylic epoxy emulsion cured by the prepared titanium ion cross-linking agent. The curing mode was determined by FTIR.What's more, the sample was tested by field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM)observation, electrochemical impedance test, soaking experiment, copper accelerated salt spray test(CASS),contact angle test and determined the coating with 6wt%titanium ion cross-linking agent is the best anticorrosive property. The resistance value is 3.4×10~8?cm~2,and the contact angle is the largest, which is 80.71°.(5)In order to ensure the wide application of the prepared cross-linking agent, the waterborne anticorrosive coating was prepared by using the prepared titanium ion cross-linking agent to solidify waterborne epoxy ester emulsion. The waterborne epoxy ester resin is perfectly cured through FTIR test. What's more, the sample was tested by field emission scanning electron microscope(SEM)observation, electrochemical impedance test, soaking experiment, copper accelerated salt spray test(CASS),contact angle test and determined the coating with 5wt%titanium ion cross-linking agent is the best anticorrosive property. The resistance value is 8.3×10~8?cm~2,and the contact angle is the largest, which is 88.03°.
