With the continuous development of steel rolling technology,more and more high stability and accuracy are required for the automatic control system of steel rolling,Automatic control system of cold continuous rolling thickness is the most important part of it.In this paper,the process automation control system,the basic automation control system and the automatic thickness control system for five stand cold rolling mill in a factory are studied and analyzed.A new automatic control system for five stand cold rolling mill is established.In order to realize the optimal control of the process parameters such as rolling force and running speed of strip during rolling.A set of second level control system for 5 stand tandem cold rolling mill is established.And a new adaptive and a optimization model are developed.Various control function modules of the basic automation are analyzed and studied.The actual basic automation configuration and instrument layout of the field are introduced.And the function debugging is carried out in the field.The basic automation of the hydraulic press system,the hydraulic bending roll system,the hydraulic fluid channeling roll system,the thickness control system and so on is established.The control function module is applied to the actual production.In view of the actual situation of 5 stand cold rolling mill,a new compensatory function 1 frame feed forward AGC is designed and established,which effectively eliminates the thickness deviation caused by the large fluctuation of raw material thickness.The 1 frame monitoring AGC based on the improved Smith predictor is designed and established.The rack No.2 is designed for effective 2 rack and second flow AGC,which realizes two times compensation for raw material thickness fluctuation.Aiming at the rolling strategy of two kinds of cold rolling production processes,the 5 monitoring AGC and feed forward AGC are designed.
