Environmental Pollution And Population Mortality

The deterioration of the environment and the destruction of the ecological balance brought about by economic growth will affect the health of residents,and it will increasingly become a key factor restricting economic growth.It is well-known that environmental pollution is closely related to the health of residents.Therefore,by studying what kind of policies are implemented to reduce the impact of environmental pollution on the health of residents,we can provide policy-makers with theoretical references.Based on Grossman's healthy production function,this article incorporates environmental pollution factors,including air pollution and water pollution,and uses data from 286 prefecture-level cities in China in 2010 to verify the impact of environmental pollution on the population mortality rate,as well as the inclusion of education factors and health.The effect of environmental pollution on mortality after medical factors.The study found that the impact of environmental pollution on the mortality rate is significant.When the factors of education,health care or income are added,the impact will appear a certain degree of downward trend.It shows that by improving education services,health and medical services,and income levels to manage the health risks of environmental pollution,it can effectively reduce the mortality rate of the population,improve the residents' enjoyment of services,and improve the overall public service system and social welfare.
