Fluorescent whitening agents is a chemical product,some unscrupulous businessmen add it in mask,mushroom and wrapping paper of mushroom to achieve whitening effect rapidly which poses a threat to human health.There is no corresponding measurement method for mushroom and wrapping paper of mushroom,and methods published in papers can be improve better in some areas.A method for the determination of fluorescent whitening agents by Agilent 1200 and Thermo Fisher UltiMate 3000 high performance liquid chromatography was developed and put it into practices,such as analysis VBL,CBS,CXT in samples of napkin,mask,mushroom and wrapping paper of mushroom.Acetonitrile,water and ammonium acetate solution as the mobile phase,the conditions of fluorescence detector were set as excitation wavelength of 350 nm and emission wavelength of 430 nm.0.1%ammonia and ethanol-water(v/v=1/2)solutions as the extraction solvent by ultrasonic extraction or stewing extraction as pre-treatment of samples.The method for the determination of fluorescent whitening agents VBL in napkins,the target analytes showed good linearity in the range of 0.5~10.0?g/mL with the correlation coefficients(R~2)greater than 0.999.The limit of detection for the method was0.024?g/m L and the limits of quantification were 0.1149?g/mL.The recoveries were between 83.0%~92.5%with the relative standard deviations of 2.5%~4.7%;The method for the determination of fluorescent whitening agents CXT in masks,the target analytes showed good linearity in the range of 0.5~10.0?g/m L with the correlation coefficients(R~2)greater than 0.998.The limit of detection for the method was 0.018?g/mL and the limit of quantification was 0.1343?g/mL.The recoveries were between 81.0%~88.0%with the relative standard deviations of 3.0%~4.3%;The method for the determination of fluorescent whitening agents VBL-CBS-CXT in mushroom and wrapping paper,the target analytes showed good linearity in the range of 0.005~6.0?g/mL with the correlation coefficients(R~2)greater than 0.997.The limits of detection for the method were0.0001~0.0008?g/mL.The samples of mushroom,the limits of quantification were0.0004~0.0048?g/mL.The recoveries were between 81.5%~93.0%with the relative standard deviations of 2.9%~5.1%.The samples of wrapping paper,the limits of quantification were 0.0003~0.0045?g/mL.The recoveries were between 80.0%~102.7%with the relative standard deviations of 2.3%~5.3%.The methods were simple,accurate and sensitive,and could be used for the determination of the fluorescent whitening agents in samples.It also could provide scientific basis and technical support for relevant detection institutions to supervise commercial napkins,masks,mushrooms and mushroom wrapping papers.
