With regard to the traditional Chinese Medicine pharmaceutical wastewater in pharmaceutical industry wastewater,due to the different production processes,the produced water quality and quantity are in great fluctuation and poor stability.Additionally,as a result of the irregular discharge corresponding to the production arrangement of enterprises,the wastewater has a complicated composition,high colority,unstable COD concentration and poor biodegradability,which belongs to the one of the industrial wastewaters that are very difficult to deal with.If substandard Traditional Chinese Medicine wastewater is discharged,it will make great pollution to the water body and ecological environment.The Traditional Chinese Medicine production wastewater of a pharmaceutical company of Xi'an includes production wastewater,process wastewater and domestic sewage,etc.A/O technology has been adopted all along to deal with this Traditional Chinese Medicine wastewater.However,with the continuous increase of medication production,the produced wastewater contains higher level of organic pollutants with great colority,in addition,due to the long service life of the equipment,A/O technology hasn't met the existing processing capacity,leading to the discharge of not-achieved treating wastewater,which has harmed the ecological environment of industrial park and people's health.Through the comprehensive analysis on the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine production wastewater of a pharmaceutical company in Xi'an,combing with the present treatment process and effect of the company's wastewater treatment station,and consulting the treatment experience of other companies of the same kind,the combined process of“Hydrolysis Acidification Method+A/O+Sedimentation Process”is adopted to treat this wastewater,and the existing related structures of the factory is optimized to improve the treatment effect of wastewater comprehensively.Hydrolysis Acidification Method improves the biodegradability of the wastewater,which is helpful to further degrade organic pollutants;Osculation Oxygenation Method possesses the advantages like strong adaptability,high oxygen utilization rate,less produced wastewater sludge and so on.The adoption of the combined process of“Hydrolysis Acidification Method+A/O+Sedimentation Process”by this company not only meets the requirement of great fluctuation of water quantity and water quality of Traditional Chinese Medicine production wastewater,but also is feasible technically and economically.After treatment,the indexes of discharged wastewater such as COD,BOD,PH,SS,,colority,all meet the standard requirements of“Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Pharmaceutical Industry Chinese Traditional Medicine Category?GB21906-2008?”and the“Yellow River basin?Shaanxi?integrated wastewater discharge standard?DB61/224-224?”.Combined with enterprise environmental protection concept,through continuously reform and innovation,and the long time monitoring,the wastewater is recycled and reused,like using the recycled waste water for green plant irrigation through the fire network with water-saving and cost-reduction.Through the study and analysis on the combined process of“Hydrolysis Acidification Method+A/O+Sedimentation Process”,according to its engineering adjustment,start-up,operation and improvement,the following research conclusions are obtained:1.the optimal condition for the stable operation of the hydrolysis acidification system,is:the optimal Ph value is between 6 and 6.5,the optimal hydraulic retention time is 10 h,the optimal volume load is 3.4 kgCOD/?m3?d?,and the temperature is at room temperature level.When the system can be operated stably,the average removal rate of wastewater COD and NH3-N can reach 80%and 30%separately;2.Coagulants such as PAC and PAM are added in coagulatory settler.Through the experiments for many times,the optimal quantity of the chemical agent of these two coagulants are separately:PAC in 55 mg/L,PAM in 3.5 mg/L.The removal rate of COD can reach above35%;3.The process operation result shows that the optimal condition for the A/O system stable operation is:the PH value in A pool is maintained at the level of 6-7,dissolved oxygen is controlled under the level of 0.6 mg/L,the PH value of is maintained at the level of 7.5-8.5,the dissolved oxygen is maintained at the level of2.04.0 mg/L,the temperature is maintained at 2535?,SV30 is at the level of 25%-30%,the proportion of nutrients C:N:P is 100:5:1.It can be seen that the combined process of“Hydrolysis Acidification Method+A/O+Sedimentation Process”has an obvious effect on the treatment of Chinese Traditional Medicine pharmaceutical wastewater.
