In recent years,with the continuous development of economic and society,high temperature environment generally exists in some specific workplace,such as deep mine,aerospace,military field and so on.High temperature environment has a serious effect on the physical and mental health of workers.It will extremely reduce work enthusiasm and work efficiency of workers and increase accident rate,which may lead to heat stroke,suffocation and even death.Thus,it's necessary to take measures for these workers who work in high temperature environment.In this paper,the performance of semiconductor cooling protective suits was studied from the aspect of experiment and simulation,meanwhile a novel semiconductor cooling protective suits was put forward.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the 40 ? of high temperature environment,with the effect of different materials water-cooled heat sinks,the temperature difference of the cold-junction temperatures was small,and the maximum temperature difference didn't exceed 2 ?;the cold end temperature of the cooler reached the lowest at voltage of 7?8 V;the cooling effect of the copper water cooling box was obviously better than that of the aluminum water cooling box;the effect of different water inlet temperature on the cooler's cold end temperature was obvious,and when the water temperature rose by 5 ?,the cold end temperature decreased by approximately 2.5 ?;the temperature difference didn't change much at 20,40,and 60 L/h,but dropped obviously at 80 L/h;(2)Under experimental conditions,the cooling clothes parameters was determined combined with human comfort requirements,including thermoelectric cooler of TEC-12710,heat sink of aluminum water cooling box,voltage of 2 V,inlet temperature of 40 ? and volume flow of 20 L/h.After working for 4 h,the cold end temperature of TEC-12710 rise from 28.1 ? to 30.8 ?,which was fully able to meet the comfortable temperature requirements for cooling clothing;(3)The temperature distribution of semiconductor cooling suits within the small space was uniform.Common fabric with a thermal conductivity of only about 0.5 W/(m·K)was almost impossible to transfer the cold quantity.The cooling radius of the thermoelectric cooler was about 4 cm with a thermal conductivity of 1500 W/(m·K);(4)According to above research,a novel semiconductor cooling suit can be achieved by four cooler on each front and back combined with the size of the cooling suit.In summary,this paper comprehensively analyzed the performance of semiconductor cooling protective suit from both experimental and simulation studies.Basic data from study of experiment and stimulation provides a solid foundation for the further research and development of semiconductor cooling protective suits,which provides certain guide significance for workers under high temperature environment.
