Large scale mechanization is the definite path for the development of coal mine roadway excavation.Today,roadheaders are widely used in our nation's coal mining industry.They are commonly used for roadway excavations and productions under varies small,medium and large size coal mines across the country.The roadheaders have became one of the most central and important equipment in mining as well as some water conservancy projects.However,the cantilever roadheaders are constantly challenged by the poor mining conditions cause by mist,dust and the changing coal seam characteristics result in poor cutting section quality,low productivity and high intensity manual labor.This topic shall base on the EBZ260 model roadheader produced by Xi'an Coal Mine Machinery Co.,Ltd.,and the research on application issues of the original low power roadheader electronic control system,in an effort to design a more logical,reliable and expandable electrical control system.This system shall use more advanced and well tested electrical components along with the Inter Control for moving vehicles as its core control device.It shall use the IEC standard language under the codesys environment.The system shall be closely monitored for voltage lose,over voltage,short circuit,overload,overheat,high gas level,high/low voltage leakage,oil temperature,oil level and etc.The system shall include other features such as modular design,communication with CANOpen,10.4 inch LED display to achieve a comprehensive user interface and intelligent troubleshooting capability.Additionally,the system have developed hardware and software for automated upgrading,the system can achieve wireless remote control of the roadheaders with the addition of a control box to the basic electronic control system and the upgraded of hydraulic system.This shall also allow the system to have full control of the cutting section as well as self adjusted cutting arm during the excavation to ensure reduced manual labor,high productivity and safe production.Lastly,this system has been installed onto Xi'an Coal Mine Machinery Co.,Ltd.'s EBZ260 cantilever roadheader.The electronic control system has had positive test under the coal mine.The system functioned as expected with low malfunction rate.The automation feature has also gone through simulations test.
