The shearer electronic control system is the core part of the shearer,which is consisted of the control for various signal, especially the signal widely spread the different location. In recently years, CAN bus as a kinds of high reliability, fault-tolerant operation field bus, obtains rapidly development. In this thesis, based on the engineering backgroundof mining electrical control system development,shearer distributed electronic control system with CAN bus technology is presented. The proposed approach could enhance the shearer electronic system stability and scalability under coal mine complex working environment, also have theoretical significance and engineering value.Firstly, through the analysis of shear working condition, combined with the monitor demand, the overall diagram for shearer electronic system is given. Based on the practical working condition, the control structure is presented with taken the space location into consideration, which provides the basis for coal mining mechanical and electrical control system design.Furthermore, the modular hardware system diagram is given based on the various kinds of peripherals on shear electrical control system. The proposed hardware system is consisted of main control block, digital output block, digital input block and analog sample block. In each block, ARM7 process is selected as the main processor, all the block can communicated with each other with CAN bus. CAN bus communication implementation and the details design procedure for every block is presented.Because of the consistencyin main CPU and communication part, embedded real time operation system μCOS-II is adopted to develop the software for every block,which could assure the portability. CANOPENagreement is selected to design CAN bus communication software. The different software in every block, like GUI, filter, ADC are illustrated detail. Combined the design procedure both on hardware and software, the approaches improving the reliability of the shearer are presented.Finally, all the work and progress are concluded. The following work needed to deal is presented.
