In order to reduce the transportation distance,traffic congestion problem encountered,impacts of air pollution and noise pollution on people in the process of transportation of domestic waste in villages and towns,obtaining the best comprehensive efficiency,the research on domestic waste transportation routes optimization in villages and towns was conducted.Domestic waste transportation and its routes optimization problems were introduced firstly,then some factors such as road level,traffic congestion problems encountered and impacts of air pollution and noise pollution on people were posed.Based on the basic theories and algorithms of domestic waste transportation routes optimization,the VRP models of domestic waste transportation routes optimization in villages and towns with the aim of the best comprehensive efficiency were built.Then the stepped hierarchical model was established,where the provincial road transportation,county road transportation and rural road transportation were chosen as program layer,traffic congestion problems encountered,the impacts of air pollution and noise pollution on people in the process of transportation were chosen as criterion layer,the design of transportation routes of domestic waste in villages and towns was chosen as target layer.Subsequently,the comprehensive weights of three transportation solutions were calculated.According to the comprehensive weight above,traditional saving algorithm was improved and then was used to optimize the domestic waste transportation routes in villages and towns.In the process of calculation with saving algorithm,the Dijkstra algorithm was used to calculate the shortest route between each garbage collection stations and the distance from garbage collection stations to garage.In the end of paper,domestic waste transportation routes optimization in Yuefang Town,Mengcheng County was conducted as an example,and the solution method and procedure were introduced in detail.The study results of Yuefang Town shows that the comprehensive weight of provincial road transportation,county road transportation and rural road transportation are 0.1374,0.2230 and 0.6396 respectively.There are the optimized domestic waste transportation routes of Yuefang Town: using the vehicle of 12 ton,the domestic wate of A?K?D and E are collected along the route of O-H-I-J-L-K-A-D-E-O;using the vehicle of 12 ton,the domestic waste of G?F?J?L and I are collected along the route of O-H-G-F-J-L-I-H-O;using the vehicle of 12 ton,the domestic waste of B and C are collected along the route of O-B-C-O;using the vehicle of 8 ton,the domestic waste of C is collected along the route of O-H-O.
