Research On Biodegradable Flame-retardant PLA Velcro And Its Mechanical Properties

Abstract/Summary:
A kind of flame-retardant PLA Velcro was developed in this paper.Its production parameters,fabric structure parameters,flame-retardant process parameters,peel and shear strength and mechanical model were researched.In addition to this,its degradation performances has also been researched preliminarily.By researching the physical performance of PLA fiber and the weaving,coating,cutting hook process of Velcro,the optimum weaving,coating,cutting hook parameters were obtained.The optimum weaving parameters are that the loom speed is 580r/min,the weaving speed is 30m/h,the warp tension is 65 c N,the heater band temperature is 120℃(the surface temperature of fabric is 90℃).The optimum coating parameters are that the coating amount is 200g/m2,pre-drying 3min in 75℃,then drying 15 min in 100℃,standing 24 h to make the solvent volatilize and solidify.The optimum cutting hook parameters are that the hooking tool is AE(teeth space is 0.720mm),cutting speed is 100m/h.By researching the weave structural parameters of Velcro,the optimum Velcro weave structural parameters are obtained.The optimum hook weave structural parameters is that the ratio of hook and warp was 1:4 in the weft direction and the ratio of hook and weft was 1:3 in the warp direction.The optimum loop weave structural parameters is that the ratio of loop and warp was 1:4 in the weft direction and the ratio of loop and weft was 1:3 in the warp direction.The height of hook and loop are 11.6mm and 2.2mm.By researching the flame retardant finishing process of PLA Velcro,the optimum flame-retardant finishing process parameters are obtained.The optimum dipping flame-retardant finishing parameters are that flame retardant concentration is 10g/L,dipping temperature is 60℃,dipping time is 2h.The optimum coating flame-retardant finishing parameters are that the flame retardant quality fraction is 12%.The PLA Velcro can meet the American aviation flame retardant standards after 15 washing tests.By researching the peel and shear strength of PLA Velcro,the peel and shear strength can meet the national standard.Based on compression spring,the PLA Velcro mechanical mode is built,and the mechanical mode formula is obtained combing the correction factor finally.The error rate is below 5%,so it can be used to calculate and predict the peel and shear strength of the PLA Velcro.By researching the weight loss ratio and mechanical properties loss ratio of PLA Velcro after outdoor soil degradation test,and fitting the test results using derivative model equation for textile material degradation,the hook and loop Velcro quality ratio half-life is 26 and 24 months,the breaking strength half-life is 5.9 and 5.3 months,the appearance changing is that the color of the Velcro turned yellow,the thickness became thin,the fabric structure is gradually damaged with time.
