Research Based On The Apllication African Pattern In Modern Dress Design

In the world history of culture and arts,African traditional culture is very unique,rich and attractive,which plays an important part of the ancient civilization of Africa.It is well-known that the vast land of Africa witnessed the birth of all kinds of art forms,including wood carving,masks,etc.As African traditional costumes are characterized by unique patterns and special colors,in order to better discuss and study African traditional costumes and African patterns,I focus on the analysis of functionality of traditional patterns of Sub-Saharan Africa and it ' s elements that influence African traditional patterns.Hopefully,this analysis is helpful to the design of African patterns.African traditional patterns and modern patterns have developed for a very long period.They are influenced by not only natural environment and geographical characteristics,but also religious factors as well as the personalities of African.After formation,African patterns have developed from one generation to another in a relatively stable way.Although the Western culture shocked African culture systems during the invasion of western invaders into Africa,it has little impact on the pattern features of African traditional costumes.
