In order to solve the problem that the starch slurry is not soluble in the intermediate temperature water,the mid-temperature soluble quaternary ammonium cation that meets the requirements of the medium temperature sizing process is prepared through the acid hydrolysis,quaternary ammonium cationization and the treatment of the atmospheric polyhydric alcohol method,and sizing experiment is carried out on it.The results are as follows:?1?The potato starch was first acid-hydrolyzed to prepare acid-degraded starch and the properties were tested.The result show that when the temperature is 40?,the concentration of starch slurry is 30%,the concentration of hydrochloric acid is0.009mol/g?starch?,the reaction time is 2h can obtained the subsequent experimental requirements of acid hydrolysis starch.After testing,when the solid content is 6%,the viscosity of the slurry is 4.7s?No.3 funnel?,but the slurry is easy to regenerate,the slurry film formation is difficult,and the serosa is fragile.?2?Then the acid-hydrolyzed starch was used as raw material,and 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride?CTA?was used as the etherifying agent to prepare low-substituted quaternary ammonium cationic starch by semi-dry method and the properties were tested.The result show that when the reaction temperature was 70?,the water content of the system was 20%,the reaction time was 4h,the molar ratio of etherifying agent to starch was 0.06,and the molar ratio of base to etherifying agent was 2.0 can obtained the requirements starch and the reaction efficiency of RE=61%,DS=0.0301.After testing,when the solid content is 6%,the viscosity of the slurry is 4.9s,and the anti-coagulant property is good,the gel will not gel for 24h,the slurry filming property is good,the serosal film is smooth and soft,and the sizing effect on the textile fiber is good.?3?Finally,quaternary ammonium cationic starch was used as raw material,and atmospheric pressure polyol method was used to prepare mid-temperature soluble quaternary cationic starch,and the properties were tested.The result show that when the reaction temperature is 140?,the reaction time is 10min and the mass ratio of starch to water to polyol is 1:1:5,the solubility of starch in water at 60?is 96.45%.After the mid-temperature cooking,when the solid content is 6%,the viscosity of the slurry is 5.2s,the anti-coagulation property is good,the gel will not gel after 24h,the slurry filming property is good,the serosal film is smooth and soft,and the sizing effect on the textile fiber is good.?4?The original starch,acid starch,quaternary ammonium cationic starch and mid-temperature soluble starch were characterized and analyzed by FT-IR,SEM and XRD.The results show that:?1?The original potato starch granules showed a large ellipsoid shape,the acid-degraded starch granules showed a small ellipsoid shape,and some granules appeared cracks on the surface of the granules.Quaternary ammonium cationic starch granules had obvious cracks on the surface,moderate-temperature soluble quaternary ammonium cations starch granules showed a high degree of expansion,and even more pores;?2?All four starches showed characteristic absorption peaks at 3400cm-1,2930cm-1,1649cm-1and 1362cm-1,577cm-1.The original starch and the acid-hydrolyzed starch had similar infrared spectra,while the latter two starch at the wavelength of 3800cm-1or so appear characteristic absorption peak of N element;?3?The first three kinds of starch showed obvious diffraction peaks at 2?of 17°,22°and 24°,which belonged to the typical B-type starch,while the mid-temperature soluble quaternary ammonium cationic starch appeared at 13.0°and 20.0°Obvious diffraction peak,belongs to the typical metastable V-type crystal.?5?Mid-temperature soluble quaternary cationic starch is used to make a small sample medium temperature sizing of cotton and polyester yarns.The results show that mid-temperature soluble quaternary ammonium cationic starch sizing effect can not meet the weaving requirements,but the addition of penetrant can effectively improve the problem,sizing strength,abrasion resistance,hairiness index are in line with the weaving requirements,and with high temperature sizing effect is almost the same,in line with the requirements of temperature sizing.In summary,through the acid hydrolysis of the original starch,cationization,the use of atmospheric pressure polyols prepared by the temperature soluble textile starch slurry can meet the requirements of temperature sizing,and by adding a penetrant After the temperature sizing effect also meet the follow-up weaving requirements,in order to achieve the temperature sizing lay a theoretical foundation.
