The thesis combined with related knowledge,including die casting mold,numerical simulation of die casting,laser enhancement technology,CAD/CAE technology,bionics,material science,etc.,aiming to improve the service life of die casting molds.The main research methods and contents are as follows:Firstly,it introduces the development status and the failure form of mold,and the method of improving the life,which leads to the application of laser enhancement technology,bionics technology and computer aided technology in mold reinforcement.Then,it analyzes the numerical simulation theory and die casting theory of the die casting process.In the specific research process,it takes actual mold as the object of the research,and predicts the the easily failure area of mold by model designing,finite element analysis pre-processing,die casting simulation analyzing,then it compares simulation results with the actual usage,and to verifies the reliability of the simulation results.It also takes microstructure analysis,hardness test and thermal fatigue performance analysis after the laser intensification treatment of H13 materials.The results show that:after the laser intensification treatment,the internal structure of the material in the fused zone changes obviously,and strength and hardness are significantly improved.At the same time,the strengthened unit body has a certain inhibitory effect on the initiation and expansion of thermal fatigue crack of material.In order to improve the efficiency of laser processing,PowerMill is used to realize automatic planning of laser processing path and automatic generation of laser processing instruction code.Finally,it takes actual processing verification of the mold after laser bionic strengthening treatment,and the service life is doubled compared to unprocessed,which brings considerable economic benefits to the enterprise.
