Magnesite is a very important mineral,it can be widely used in building materials,metallurgy,chemical and other industries.But the lower grade magnesite can not be directly used as raw materials for the quality of refractory refractory materials,while with the continuous exploitation of high-grade magnesite,its reserves are less and less,in order to make better use of resources,need Find the appropriate purification method to purify the low grade magnesite.In this paper,the low-grade magnesite in Haicheng area is taken as the raw material,and the flotation process and the selection of the flotation process are selected based on the flotation test and the present process.In this paper,the effects of dodecylamine,modified dodecylamine and imidazolium quaternary ammonium salt as collector,sodium silicate as inhibitor and pine oil as foaming agent on the magnesite flotation were studied respectively.In this paper,the flotation experiment of magnesite was carried out by reverse flotation method.The flotation experiments of single factor variables are carried out by changing the dosage of the agent and the acidity and alkalinity of the flotation.After flotation,the MgO grade,recovery rate,SiO2 grade and CaO grade of magnesite were detected and analyzed.For dodecylamine,the amount of inhibitor is 250g/t,the amount of dodecylamine is 187.5g/t,the foaming agent is 4.8L/t,the recovery rate is the highest.Under the condition of controlling the pH unchanged,the best experimental result of MgO is 49.18%,the recovery rate is 81.65%,the grade of SiO2 is 1.66%,and the grade of CaO is 3.33%.For modified dodecylamine,the amount of inhibitor is 250g/t,the amount of modified dodecylamine is 250g/t,the foaming agent is 4.8L/t,the recovery rate is the highest.Under the condition of controlling the pH unchanged,the best experimental result of MgO is 49.54%,the recovery rate is 88.17%,the grade of SiO2 is 1.46%,and the grade of CaO is 2.11%.For the imidazole quaternary ammonium salt,the amount of inhibitor is 125g/t,the amount of imidazolyl quaternary ammonium salt is 250g/t,the foaming agent is 4.8L/t,the recovery rate is the highest.Under the condition of controlling the pH unchanged,the best experimental result of MgO is 53.65%,the recovery rate is 88.21%,the grade of SiO2 is1.71%,and the grade of CaO is 2.16%.In order to make full use of low grade magnesite,and preparing magnesium salt with high added value products.We used carbonization method to extract the magnesium from lower grade magnesite and prepare Basic magnesium carbonate.We get the optimum process conditions:the time of carbonization was 2.5h,The flow rate of carbon dioxide is 15L/h,the temperature of carbonization was 20?,the raw material concentration was 1.4mol/L.Testing the products by XRD and SEM.
