Rencently,as the increasing of environmental pollution,human's life is getting worse.Under the influence of bad environment,humans pay more attention to themselves health.Waterborne polyacrylate is a kind of environmental friendly emulsion with low VOC content and it has been used widely in building materials,textile industry.But,waterborne polyacrylate still has poor water resistance and weatherability which limited it's application.In this paper,montmorillonite is modified by 1227 quaternary ammonium salt to prepared organic montmorillonite?OMMT?.A polyacrylate emulsion is synthesized by pre-emulsification and semi-continuous polymerization method,in which methyl methacrylate?MMA?,butyl acrylate?BA?,modified-montmorillonite was blended together during the pre-emulsification step.In ethanol,modified-montmorillonite,nanoparticles SiO2,fluorine-containing polyacrylate is blended together to prepared hybrid coatings.The performance of the coatings and emulsion has been investigated,as follows:Through the pre-emulsification and semi-continuous polymerization method,waterborne polyacrylate has been prepared,analyzed the influence of MMA and BA on coatings properties.The result show,emulsion is stable,more MMA make the coatings hard and brittle,the best ratio of MMA and BA is 0.8:1.The structure and performance of OMMT were confirmed by FT-IR,TG,stability test.The result showed that quaternary ammonium salt had been intercalated interlayer of montmorillonite.Prepared modified waterborne polyacrylate by seed emulsion polymerization,methyl methacrylate?MMA?,butyl acrylate?BA?,modified-montmorillonite was blended together during the pre-emulsification step.The emulsion kept stable when the ratio of OMMT was less than 3%.The performance of OMMT modified polyacrylic latex were confirmed by FT-IR,water contact angle test,water resistance and weatherability and antibacterial ability test.The water contact angle for 3%OMMT modified polyacrylic latex coating was 80°while it was increased to about20°or more for unmodified coating.Therefore,it is found that coating with more than 0.4%OMMT has excellent antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria?S.Aereus?and gram-negative bacteria?E.coli?.In the emulsion polymerization,in order to improve the comprehensive performance of antibacterial coating,we adding the dodecafluoroheptyl acrylate to prepared the fluorine-containing polyacrylate.The influence of dodecafluoroheptyl acrylate on coating's water contact angle is investigated.The result show when dodecafluoroheptyl acrylate content is 10%,the improvement of water contact angle is obviously.The OMMT/SiO2/PFA coating we has prepared formed micro-nano dual roughness structure by SEM,it's water contact angle reach 151°.
