Monomer casting nylon(MC nylon)is a well-known engineering plastics,but its application is limited because of poor toughness.,Therefore,a thermoplatic elastomer polyethylene-octene elastomer(POE)was introduced to improve its toughness.But,it is difficult to mix the POE and matrix nylon,which need a compatibilizer to obtain a desired materials.In this paper,a reactive compatibilizer POE-TEPAF-g-GO with adjustable polar segment was designed and prepared,which is composed of non-polar polymer MAPOE,nanoparticles graphene oxide(GO)and a polar segment TEPAF.FTIR、XRD and TGA results showed that the MAPOE and TEPAF intercalated into GO-sheet,and the grafting ratio of MAPOE is about 8.6%.The MC nylon/POE-TEPAF-g-GO/MAPOE blends were prepared successfully by anionic in situ polymerization.The POE-TEPAF-g-GO showed good compatibility for MC nylon/MAPOE blends,and it also displayed a multifunctional fillers role.The mechanical properties results showed that the notched impact strength sharply increased by84%as opposed to the neat MC nylon,tensile strength increased by 9%,and the thermal stability has also been improved when the POE-TEPAF-g-GO/MAPOE was 0.04 wt%.To discuss the effection of the different polar segment of compatibilizer on MC nylon/MAPOE blends,we controlled thewMof TEPAF by changing the ratio of formaldehyde and tetraethylenepentamine.TGA and mechanical properties testing results indicated that toughness of MC nylon enhanced significantly,and notched impact strength was 5.36 kJ/m~2.Tensile strength and thermal stability were also improved.XRD testing results showed that polar segment can affect theγ-crystalline form for MC nylon.Wherein,when the wM was 931,the materials had better performance.The influence of the different content GO of compatibilizer for MC nylon/MAPOE blends was studied.XRD、TGA and mechanical properties testing results showed that toughness、strength and thermal were enhanced.And theγ-crystalline form of MC nylon was changed.Wherein,when the ratio of POE and GO were 1:0.5,the materials had better performance.Compared with neat MC nylon,the MC nylon/POE-TEPAF-g-GO/MAPOE blends notched impact strength increased by 84%,the flexural strength and flexural modulus were increased by 33%and 44%respectively,compressive strength increased by 28%as well as tensile strength and tensile modulus,respectively increased by 9%,33%,when the wM of TEPAF was 931 and the ratio of POE and GO were 1:0.5.
