With the fast development of economy,the industry of templates increasingly more important in the construction sector.The costs of that are made by wooden or steel is too high,but their recycling value is too low.And this doesn't conform low-carbon and environmental for recycling economy.They will be gradually phased out.Plastic template is a new building template,as a environmentally friendly products,Plastic template is not only have a low cost,but also have recycling values.It has a great prospects in the construction industry.However,the plastic template researched during these years is not perfect,its mechanical properties is lower.This is seriously restricting the promotion and application of plastic template.The material analysis and testing were accomplished for the plastic template which were used by construction market.The design scheme for new plastic template were put forward.The PP was chose as the base material,and the glass,EPDM,PP-g-MAH were chose as the main accessories.The relationship between the material properties and the additives was found by these experiment with different proportions of formula:Under the premise of other conditions is not change,(1)The right amount of glass can improve the flexural strength and flexural modulus of PP,but will reduce its toughness;(2)The EPDM can improve the toughness of PP,but will reduce its flexural strength and flexural modulus;(3)The PP-g-MAH can improve the flexural strength and the toughness of PP.According to the results,the material formulation was determined.Finally the modified PPfor plastic template was get.Its flexural strength was 82.63 MPa,its flexural modulus was5410 MPa,its non-notched impact strength of charpy was 37.5 kJ/m~2,and these performance were all exceed the industry standard for plastic template.The typical plastic template(1500×600mm)that applied most was analyzed by Abaqus.The relationship between its mechanical properties with the fixed spacing,the thickness of the template,the width of the ribs,the aspect ratio,the spacing of the longitudinal ribs and the transverse ribs were built.According to the results of mechanics analysis and numerical simulation,the structure of plastic template for the model was optimized;The plastic template after optimized was weight loss 30.51%than the original,and the significant economic for single was notable.The plastic template of common specifications were designed based on this.
