The existing methods for the degradation of printing and dyeing wastewater have many disadvantages,such as limited application scope,reclamation difficulty of catalyst leading to secondary pollution,the high-level equipment and the high energy consumption.In order to achieve good degradation rate?short periods and avoid secondary pollution,our research group designed a new type of catalyst for catalytic oxidation degradation of organic pollutants in printing and dyeing wastewater.We.choose phenols as the models,use the control variable meihod to study th-e relevant factors of their degradation,such as the size of the pH,catalyst concentration,concentration of hydrogen peroxide,temperature and time.By the research,we obtained the optimum conditions of phenol degradation:2.6×10-4 mol/L of the hydrogen peroxide,2×10-7 mol/L of the catalyst,pH=11.5,room temperature and 60 minutes for the reaction.Utilizing above conditions,the degradation rate of phenol can reach to 99.93%.Nitrogen and oxygen has coordination ability,can axial coordination with catalyst,destroying the structure of catalyst.Therefore,we studied the influence of adding these compounds on degradation of phenol.Finding compounds which both have nitrogen and oxygen,strongest coordination ability;followed by which only has nitrogen coordination;the last is the compound only has oxygen coordination.Heavy metal ions can make hydrogen peroxide invalid decomposition,and alkali metal ions or alkaline-earth metals are commonplace in water.Therefore,we studied add these metal ions influence on degradation of phenol.Except alkali metal ions,others can retard the degradation of phenol.Hydrogen peroxide can react redox others can retard the degradation of phenol.Hydrogen peroxide can react redox reaction with part of the anion,also studied these anion influence on the degradation of phenol,can retard the degradation of phenol.
