With the development of society economy,the process of product design has evolved from production-orientation to customer-orientation.Only by producing products which meet consumers' demands,can enterprises attract more consumers.How to combining the demands with product design has become a major focus in the field of products.The research selected bra as the object and undergraduates as the subjects.Based on the cognitive psychology theory,a bra design model has been built by constructing bra design index system,consumers' perceptual image space and relationship between them.The results can also provide references for bra design of these subjects group.First of all,based on the factor analysis and cluster analysis,the research divided customers into two different groups from three dimensions of life style:interest,attitude and viewpoint.The research selected 30 subjects from these two groups respectively to do the projection experiment which was useful to build relationship between bra design index and perpetual image.For different age groups,results showed that difference only existed in "Mature-Lovely" perpetual image and there was no obvious difference existed in all perpetual images from different life style groups.Second,the bra components secondary index system was constructed by market research,literature study,expert interview,eye movement experiment and reaction time experiments.The initial components design structure of bra was established based on the market research and literature study.In addition,it was revised by expert interview.Third,the bra perpetual image space was established by the projection experiment with 43 subjects.The experiment samples were obtained from the cluster experiments,the 14 word-pairs were selected from 50 word-pairs by subjects whose major were garment.Fourth,the bra design model was established based on the projection experiment with 60 subjects focusing on the relationship of bra design index and perpetual image space.The orthogonal design method was used to determine the bra components samples and the bra color samples were selected by the color selection experiment conducted by subjects with garments backgrounds combining with market research.The 3D technology and PS software were used in the sample preparation to verify the influence of different methods in the sample making process.The results indicated that the samples made by 3D technology were better than PS,not only in visual effect,also in the control of irrelevant variable and color parameters.Last,on the basis of previous studies,models from forward direction and backward prediction of bra components and color design have been built respectively.The Quantification theory of type I was used to build the bra components and color design models from forward direction.Fuzzy logic theory was used to set up the bra components design models from backward prediction.BP neural network method was used to establish the bra color design models from backward prediction.Grey relationship analysis was used to obtain the weight of bra components design index and color design index in perpetual image,which improved the applicability of the design model.The results showed that the Quantification theory of type I provided intuitive relation between bra design index and perpetual image,Fuzzy logic theory and BP neural network method were more precise than Quantification theory of type I method,particularly in the prediction of unknown color image.Therefore,the research adopted methods combining the linear and nonlinear methods together.The bra design model constructed in this study was useful for designing proper bra which meet the undergraduate's perpetual image from components and color aspects.The research were not only broadened the category in garments field,but also included color design part.The results can be applied in the computer aided design system of bra to ensure the design process more rapid and accurate.
