| With the large-scale production and application of UHMWPE,recycling of waste UHMWPE fiber and its products is becoming a problem.According to incomplete statistics,eliminated UHMWPE fiber and its products are more than ten thousand tons in 2013 and still has a rapid growth today.Lack of reasonable treatment not only causes a waste of resources,but also defies the circular economy.Recycling waste UHMWPE fibers and its products is in line with national policies and measures,and has a crucial significance for the sustainable development of UHMWPE industry.This topic aims at developing a method for the recycling of waste UHMWPE fiber and its products,and explore new application for the recovered things.At present,there is no news report about recycling UHMWPE fiber and its products at home and abroad.The traditional way of composite recovery is the combustion method and landfill.Although landfill method can dispose waste temporarily,but it’s not a long-term method due to its disadvantage such as occupation of land resources and pollution of groundwater,Combustion method can effectively reduce the volume of the composite,and in this way the chemical energy convert into heat,but the waste gas and waste slag still need to deal.Combustion method can only make low economic profit,This paper attempts to research and develop a recovery mode of no pollution,low energy consumption and high efficiency in order to solve the problem of recycling the waste UHMWPE fiber and products.This paper first introduces the source and types of the waste UHMWPE fiber and its products.,and classifies the waste UHMWPE fiber and its products.Secondly,it analyzes the possibility of physical method,chemical method to recover waste UHMWPE fiber and its products.Through the experiment selects physical method for the recovery of waste UHMWPE fiber and its products finally.We also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the equipment to determine the recovery equipments,and analyze the problems appear in the recovery process to propose improvement program.The last is recycled fiber’s application,it mainly consists of two aspects.The first use of it was to make blended yarn with polyester fiber.Through testing the mechanical properties of the yarn,the result shows that the UHMWPE fiber can be used for spinning.When the UHMWPE fiber content exceeds 40%,yarn breaking strength will be greater than pure polyester yarn.And the addition of UHMWPE fibers has a certain effect on reducing hairiness.The second part is to use recycled fiber for non-woven fabric,the result shows the recycled fiber can be used in non-woven fabric.The introduction of the waste UHMWPE fiber did not have effects on the process.Nonwoven fabrics that contain 10%UHMWPE fiber,and whose weight is 120 maintain the highest rate of the mechanical properties. |
