Micro-electrolysis is an electrochemical method with low energy consumption,simple reaction conditions and low cost.But the traditional micro-electrolysis material,which is based on iron carbon,has poor adaptability to pH,and can only be used in the acid wastewater.The degradation and oxidation efficiency performs weakly.The application and popularization of micro-electrolysis method is limited for the weakness.Therefore,a new type of micro-electrolysis material,with good adaptability to pH,reasonable price and good degradation performance,is developed in this research.In this paper,the basic conditions for the preparation of new type of micro-electrolysis material were obtained by screening the binder,carbon composition,catalytic component and basic application conditions.On the basis of the orthogonal design,the optimum preparation conditions of new micro-electrolysis were determined,and the properties of the materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis.Methyl orange wastewater was treated by self-made micro-electrolysis materials.The factors of reaction time,pH value,aeration rate and other process parameters on the treatment effect were investigated and the optimum conditions were determined.The process kinetics of methyl orange degraded by micro-electrolysis was studied.The coagulation and micro electrolysis were used to treat printing and dyeing wastewater.The performance of the micro electrolysis material and the commercially available were compared.The research results showed that the best preparation conditions for micro-electrolysis material were aluminum iron mass ratio 1:1,bentonite as binder for 29.4%,active carbon powder as the carbon component material of 14.7%,and the sintering temperature of 800?,the sintering time of 120min.In the material roasting process,the pore passage was kept well.Methyl orange simulated wastewater could be treated in a wide pH range by new material.The best pH of acid condition was 4-5,alkaline condition pH of 11-12,and the effect was a little bad when pH was 8-9.The optimum conditions were reaction time of 3 hour,aeration rate of 1.22L/min,material amount of 890g/L,in the condition,COD and chroma of the wastewater were effectively removed.The degradation of micro electrolysis process met pseudo-first-order-kinetics.The application of micro electrolysis technology to the printing and dyeing waste water was studied.It was illustrated that the micro electrolysis material performed better than the commercially available in the COD removal rate and biodegradability.
