The demolding performance of injection products has a very important influence on product quality and production efficiency.It must be fully evaluated and optimized before the design of the injection mold.At present,the demolding analysis and optimization of injection products mainly depend on the experience of design engineers.The analysis process also lacks simple and effective auxiliary tools,and the efficiency is low.Automation and intelligence are the main trends of injection mold design technology.It is of great significance to study the automated demolding analysis and optimization of injection products.In this paper,the formability of injection products is studied in depth,and a method of demolding analysis and optimization based on feature recognition is proposed and implemented.Feature recognition is a key technology for automated demolding analysis of injection products.In this paper,the feature recognition method based on graph and minimum convex hull is used to identify the various features of the product model.Under the condition of ensuring the accuracy of the analysis results,the fillet feature and the chamfer feature are suppressed so that the model is automatically simplified.The model simplification not only reduces the amount of calculation required for the parting direction,but also solves the problem of manual removing of the fillet surface before the optimization of the draft angle.It provides a strong technical support for the automated implementation of subsequent analysis and optimization.The determination of the parting direction is a key factor in demolding analysis.This paper analyzes and expands the technology of visibility map,and uses it to analyze the potential undercut features in order to construct the candidate parting directions of each feature and the product.Then an evaluation criterion is proposed for the optimal parting direction,and the candidate parting direction of product is automatically evaluated to determine the optimal parting direction.Reasonable draft angle is the guarantee for smooth demolding of injection products.The influencing factors and the required parameter objects of product drafting are analyzed in detail in this paper.The methods of automatic acquisition of the draft surface,draft direction and draft reference surface are studied to realize the automatic creation of draft angle.In order to avoid erroneous modification of the product shape during the drafting process,a method of adding an auxiliary draft reference surface is proposed.Based on the above research,a prototype system is developed for demoulding analysis and optimization of injection product on the UG NX platform.The effectiveness of the system is validated by a case.
