With the rapid development of manufacturing industry,the machining accuracy and efficiency of cam and camshaft are higher and higher.In order to solve the problem of imbalance between machining accuracy and production efficiency in grinding process.In this paper,taking the spindle speed of the workpiece in the CNC camshaft grinding machine as the research object,taking the HNC-8 CNC system as the development platform,the mathematical model of the workpiece rotation movement and the feed following motion of the grinding wheel frame is first established,and then the relation table of the cam rotation angle and the spindle speed of the workpiece is solved.Secondly,in the case of the maximum and maximum acceleration constraints in the feed following movement of the grinding wheel frame,the differential and integral relations between the displacement,the velocity and the acceleration and the movement relation of the workpiece rotation axis and the grinding wheel frame are used to obtain the rotational speed of the workpiece under the restrictive condition of the feed movement of the grinding wheel frame.Finally,the grinding experiment is carried out on the CNC Camshaft Grinder Based on HNC-8 System.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)In view of the movement relation of the camshaft grinding,the mathematical model of the workpiece rotation movement and the feed following motion of the grinding wheel frame is established.The feed displacement equation of the grinding wheel frame and the rotational speed equation of the workpiece under the constant line speed are derived.(2)According to the restrictive conditions of the feed speed and acceleration of the grinding wheel frame,the maximum velocity and acceleration allowed by the following motion of the grinding wheel frame are analyzed and solved,and the rotational speed of the workpiece corresponding to the optimized rotation angle is obtained by the differential integral relation between the acceleration,the velocity and the displacement.(3)Aiming at the processing demand of the CNC camshaft grinding machine,the control of the following motion of the grinding wheel is realized in the following module of the HNC-8 system,and the comparison experiment with the theoretical speed of the constant line speed is set up.The experimental results show that after the inverse optimization is set up,the maximum tracking error of the cam is reduced to improve the machining accuracy of camshaft profile.
