Today's society,with the continuous improvement of processing technology,machining accuracy,processing efficiency,processing quality requirements are also rising,ceramic bond CBN grinding wheel by virtue of its excellent performance,has become a wheel of the future development of new trends.In order to improve the strength of CBN grinding wheel,the effect of different ceramic bond on the properties of ceramic binder was studied.The role of titanium coating CBN abrasive was explored.The strong electromagnetic sintering technology was introduced creativity.And the effect of strong electromagnetic sintering on the properties of CBN composites was investigated.Finally,grinding wheel was prepared.The main research work and results are as follows:(1)First,the ceramic bond formulations were studied.The effect of different mass fraction of SiO2 on the performance of ceramic bond was studied.When the SiO2 content is 60%,the bending strength of the ceramic binder is 64MPa,the refractoriness is 640 ?,the fluidity is good,the bonding degree of the bond is good with the CBN abrasive;when the TiO2 content is 2%,the bending strength of CBN is 54MPa.The XRD analysis shows that the addition of TiO2 is helpful to the precipitation of crystals.By SEM analysis,the bonding of ceramic bond with CBN abrasive grains is the most good,very small distribution of pores.(2)The effect of titanium coating CBN abrasive on the performance of splines was studied;The mechanical properties of titanium coating CBN composite splines decreased.At the same temperature,The titanium element in the titanium coating not only exists on the surface of CBN abrasive grain,but also diffuses into the glass phase,which helps the abrasive and ceramic bonding agent to better combine;From the aspects of morphology,bending strength and phase analysis of the sintered spline,the titanium coating CBN spline is more suitable for sintering in vacuum environment.(3)The mechanical properties of ceramic bond CBN composites were slightly decreased by comparison of common sintering and strong electromagnetic sintering.The microstructures of the composites were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It was found that the bonding strength of ceramic bondr to CBN after strong electromagnetic sintering was better,the porosity was smaller and uniform,the vitrification degree of ceramic binder was higher,and the electromagnetic structure could be improved by XRD.But the change of the diffraction peak is different.The change trend of the grain size and the microstrain are the same in the two kinds of sintering.(4)Select the ceramic binder formulation with good properties to make the grinding wheel sample and make the grinding wheel,then grind the titanium alloy material and measure the grinding temperature with the thermocouple temperature measurement method.
