Phenoxydifluoroacetic acids can be prepared by reacting various phenols with ethyl bromodifluoroacetate, which are inexpensive, readily available, diverse, and easy to purify and stable to air and moisture. In recent years, chemical researchers in various countries have become increasingly interested in decarboxylation reactions. Therefore,we have developed a new method using carbon tetrachloride, carbon tetrabromide, and diiodomethan as source of halogen and sodium persulfate as an oxidant to achieve metal-free catalyzed halogenation reaction of phenoxydifluoroacetic acids, which are environmental protection, simple operation, mild conditions and good reactivity.
