Research On Measurement Of Benefits Of Desertification Combating In Alax Region

Desertification is a global problem,not only related to climatic conditions,but also related to the social and economic activities of human beings.Desertification problem in Alax is serious,and a source ofsandstorm which threatsto national people's production and life.At present,desertification control is the core measure of desertification combating in our country,and the necessary measures of desertification prevention are of great significance in practice also.Scientific evaluation of benefits of desertification combating,and judgement of effect of desertification combating on social economic development and ecological environmental protection,are not only can reduce the difficulty of government to promote the measures,but also can arouse the residents' enthusiasm of desertification.This paper tried to research onchanges of the desertification area and presented the three main measures of desertification combating in Alax:ecological transfer,afforestation to desertification and sand industry development.It sorted out the scope of Alax desertification benefit for evaluation.On the basis of a large number of literatures,this paper selects theevaluation indexof ecological,economic and social benefits of desertification combating in Alax.Through the collection of statistical data and experimental data,using the method of equivalent substitution and expert consultation,this paper makes a study on the measurement of three major benefits.The results showed that the ecological benefits>economic benefits>social benefits.Ecological benefit accounted for 67.54%of the total benefit.The benefit of water source protection has the biggest portion in ecological benefit,and the second is soil conservation benefit.In the economic benefit,the direct economic benefit is 2 times as much as the indirect economic benefit.Social benefits have a smallest proportion in the all and social civilization and progress needs to be improved.Finally,using the emergy analysis method,this paper calculated the differences on energy input and output before and after desertification combating implementation.And this paper calculatethe net energy output rate and environmental resource ratio.It showed that economic benefit from desertification combating in Alax remains substantial and constant,unit emergy output consumption of environmental resources reduced.On this basis,this paper tried to put forward the improvement direction of Alax desertification combating by improving the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements,attaching importance to desert tourism development.
