Analysis On The Factors Affecting China's Radiata Pine Importing From New Zealand

This paper aims to "natural forest protection project" after the limited production of logs in China,logs consumption continues to grow,the next period of time will continue to rely on imports to supplement the domestic consumption of wood in the context of the recent growth in China's largest imported logs-New Zealand Radiation Pine Of the import influencing factors.Based on the analysis of the status quo of imported pine trees in New Zealand,the reasons for the rapid growth of freshwood pine logs were analyzed,and the dynamic least squares method and error correction model were used for empirical analysis.The empirical results show that there is a long-term cointegration relationship between China's log imports and explanatory variables,while China's domestic economic output elasticity and actual import price elasticity for the import demand for Radix pine logs in New Zealand are 0.98 and-0.66,respectively,Of the statistical level significantly.Due to the presence of long-term cointegration,the deviation of Chinese log imports in the short term towards long-term equilibrium will be revised 29%next month.In addition,China's log imports show a significant holiday effect.
