In this paper,urushiol-metal polymer marine antifouling coatings were studied.Main work contents are as follows:1.Firstly,marine antifouling coatings were prepared by urushiol titanium polymer as the substrate and the modified Cu2O as the main antifouling agent.The structures and properties were tested and characterized.The antifouling panel with rosin-modified Cu2O(about 20 wt%)was substantially free of marine organisms and showed good marine antifouling effect after submerging in seawater for 360 days.2.Secondly,the urushiol benzoxazines with various functional groups were prepared from urushiol and paraformaldehyde with octylamine,p-trifluoromethylaniline or y-aminopropyltriethoxysilane as amine sources.Then the urushiol-based benzoxazine copper polymers(PUb-Cu,PUF3-Cu,and PUSi-Cu)were prepared with the presence of anhydrous CuCl2.The structures and properties of the polymers were characterized by FT-IR,XPS and TG.The results showed that the ring-opening polymerization occurred at lower temperatures by CuCl2,with the chelation ofurushiol benzoxazines and Cu ion.3.Finally,marine antifouling coatings were prepared from PUb-Cu,PUF3-CU or PUSi-Cu as antifouling coating substrates and rosin-modified nano-Cu2O(less than 20 wt%)as the main antifouling agent.The structure and performance were tested and characterized.The results showed that the contact angle of the sample to water were more than 98°,which indicated that the urushiol benzoxazine copper polymer antifouling coating is a low surface energy antifouling coating.After 60 days of shallow sea immersion experiments,there were almost no large marine organisms attachment,indicated that urushiol-based benzoxazine copper polymers have good antifouling properties.
