Nowadays,the level of science and technology is developing rapidly.People's quality of life is getting higher and higher.The diversification of visual information enriches people's visual language.But observing the current situation of food packaging graphic design,the market is full of a large number of similar packaging images.The phenomenon of "patchwork" and "stacking" of packaging graphics has become the focus of packaging attention.The old ideas of the audience conceal the essential characteristics of food packaging.According to the characteristics of abstract graphics,abstract graphics are built in the design of brand,food and consumer,and the psychological changes and visual differences between the elements of abstract graphics are explored,so that the tension of abstract graphics and food packaging design can be cross-applied.Food packaging uses abstract visual language to express the innovative development of food packaging,establishes the brand tonality of tension transmission of "abstract graphics",emphasizes the harmonious relationship between people and society,alleviates the physical and mental pressure of young consumers in fast-paced life,and follows the attitude and emotional expression of young consumers towards society.This paper tries to discuss and explore the tension characteristics of abstract graphics and its application practice.Its basic theory mainly through the analysis of the relationship between abstract graphics form and tension,and combined with examples to analyze abstract graphics in food packaging from multiple perspectives,in order to find the visual language expression of the tension of abstract graphics.The basic rules of human vision,psychology and the relationship between picture and background are taken as the starting point,and the tension of abstract graphics and food packaging design are cross-studied.The application research part carries on the application practice from the brand angle,carries on the innovation manifestation from the packing visual information,the packing material,the packing structure aspect through extracting the essential characteristic of the food,combining the subjective understanding and the innovation attempt of the creator.In short,the tension of abstract graphics will be vividly and uniquely integrated into traditional food packaging design,establish a diversified brand image of traditional food packaging,and follow the design concept of returning to the original,break the traditional olddesign concept,shape the unique packaging of traditional food,thus reflecting the integration practice of tension of abstract graphics and diversity of food packaging design.
