Land is not only a part of natural resources,but also an important factor of regional eco-environment.Soil and water loss is a problem that must be paid enough attention to all over the world.It will bring a series of natural disasters,so that cause ecological deterioration of the whole environmental system.As a result,the living conditions of human beings are seriously challenged.Therefore,the comprehensive and objective evaluation of the eco-environment in the soil and water loss area is of great significance for the timely understanding of the regional eco-environment and the formulation of corresponding control and protection measures.The rolling hill regions with black soil area is a typical area of soil and water loss,and it is also the main producing area of commodity grain in our country.Serious soil and water loss leads to the degradation of land quality and the decline of grain production capacity.In this paper,Baiquan County,which is located in the core area of rolling hill regions with black soil,was chosen as the study area.RSEI(Remote Sensing Ecological Index)was used to assess and analyse the eco-environment change trend relying on the RS and GIS and analysis methods.Based on the quantitative analysis of the characteristics of land use change,this paper systematically analyzed the spatio-temporal differentiation process and pattern of eco-environmental quality under the action of land use.In order to grasp the county ecological change situation for government and provide the scientific basis for further protect.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Green,thermal,wet and dry are the key indicators that can reflect the quality of the eco-environment.After principal component transformation,RSEI characterized the eco-environment of soil erosion areas.In the past 3 decades,Baiquan's RSEI value went up20.16%.The ecological grade was mainly good,the area occupied by the poorer?the poor and the middle was declined.The area occupied by the excellent grade was obviously increased.The area of improved eco-environmental quality is larger than the part that remains degraded,which indicated that the eco-environmental status has been improved on balance.(2)During the whole research period,the ESI of each township increased to varying degrees,and the implementation of ecological control project had remarkable effect on the improvement of eco-environmental quality.In the future,soil and water loss control focused on Changchun Town?Dazhong towns and Xingnong town in the northern region,as well as Shangsheng town and Gufu town in the northeast.(3)The main type of land use in Baiquan County was cultivated land.From 1985 to 2017,thecultivated land area decreased and the change was relatively stable.It was mainly transferred to other types.However,the cultivated land RSEI still showed an increasing trend so that the quality of cultivated land was improved and more suitable for crop.The area of water and unused ground area decreased,but the RSEI of water area was obviously lower than that of other kinds of land.The change of land use type and the mutual transformation between the types of land use will affect the eco-environmental quality.According to different topography,different management methods were adopted in the study area,which made the eco-environment quality change significantly.(4)The green indicator has gradually become an important indicator of the positive effects of ecological environment in the research area,which suggests that ecological management measures such as the project of Afforestation and Covert Cultivated Land into Forest playing an important role in improving environment quality.The improvement of the eco-environment also forms the favorable climatic conditions of the Baiquan County.Increasing the vegetation makes the soil and water loss control more effective with the increasing of the cultivated land quality and grain yield.In the future,improving of the green indicator is still the key to the improvement of the ecoenvironment in the Baiquan county.(5)According to the actual situation of the study area and the results of the research,it is found that the present problems of eco-environment of the land use.Putting forward some solutions to improve ecological sustainability of the study area,such as optimizing land use mode and layout,strengthen regional governance and management,persevering in carrying out Afforestation to consolidate the area of returning to forests,development of ecological industry and so on.
