Study On The Dilemma And Countermeasures Of Environmental NGOs Participating In Environmental Governance

With the development of the times,environmental pollution problems have occurred frequently,environmental protection awareness and social needs have gradually increased,and environmental NGOs have emerged.Environmental NGOs have played a major role in bridging the lack of government functions,ensuring high-quality environmental appeals,and participating in environmental governance.In some Western countries,the status and influence of environmental NGOs is no less than that of the government and can even promote legislation.In China,with the continuous reform of the system in recent years,the material needs and spirits of the people need to be adjusted in a step-by-step manner,and the need for a better environment is more urgent.Environmental NGOs have also ushered in a broader space for activity development.However,due to the short development time of China's environmental NGOs,there are constraints in both the organization itself and the external society.To a certain extent,it restricts the development of environmental NGOs and creates obstacles to their participation in environmental governance.This paper analyzes this and takes Wuhan as an example to conduct research.Wuhan is a mega-city of six provinces in the central region of China.It is rich in natural resources and has high demand for environmental NGOs.Because the number of colleges and universities ranks third in the country and the sources of volunteers are sufficient,the development of environmental NGOs is theoretically very representative.Based on this,this paper takes Wuhan environmental NGO as the survey object,through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,to understand the overall development and activities of environmental NGOs in Wuhan,and the people in Wuhan to study their participation and participation,and study the dilemma in their organization.The internal and external dimensions analysis was carried out.Finally,some optimization strategies were proposed for the operation mechanism of environmental protection NGOs in Wuhan.Combined with the theory of collaborative governance,environmental NGOs and the government,the public,the media and other external entities to participate in environmental governance to propose optimization space.It aims to provide a feasible idea for the healthy development of environmental NGOs in Wuhan and promote environmental NGOs to participate more effectively in environmental governance.
