Exposed surface not only causes water and soil loss,but also causes haze pollution.Bare soil greening has become an important part of the national ecological environment construction.Therefore,necessary measures shall be taken to minimize urban bare green areas and expand the coverage of bare land surface,which is greatly significant for controlling the urban soil erosion and dust pollution in China.Organic mulch mat has the characteristics of water and soil conservation,dust suppression,overall covering performance,and soil improvement,which can effectively improve the bare soil problems in cities.However,the existing eco-mat products made from coconut silk on the market are of relatively single species,high price,and limited raw materials,which limits their widespread use.The garden wastes,as a kind of renewable green resources,derive from a wealth of sources that can be used for soil improvement after their degradation.Through a series of processing,including pulverization,sizing,hot-pressing,the garden wastes are prepared to an organic mulch mat,which can develop a new type of organic mulch mat product for bare soil.In this paper,garden waste is used as raw material,and bio-oil urea-formaldehyde(BUF)is used as adhesive to develop hot-pressed organic mulch mats.The influence of synthesis conditions on the performance of BUF was investigated,the BUF synthesis process for organic blankets was optimized,and the influences of raw material density and thickness ratio,hot-pressing process conditions,and sizing volume on the performance of BUF organic mats were investigated.The preparation process of the organic mulch mat is performed;the BUF organic mulch mat is subjected to biological,dust suppression and cigarette burn resistance performance analysis.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)the optimum synthesis process of the BUF resin used in organic mulch mat:F/U molar ratio,pyrolysis oil addition amount,initial pH value,and condensation reaction temperature were 1.2,25%,8.0,88?,respectively.(2)the optimum prepared process of the organic mulch mat bonded by BUF resin:hot-pressing temperature,hot-pressing pressure,hot-pressing time,sizing quality quantity,the optimum raw material density and the optimum raw material thickness ratio were 140?,0.7 MPa,7 min,10%,0.45 g/cm3,1:2,respectively.(3)the application performance of organic mulch mat indicated that the germination rate of Chinese cabbage seeds was 96%processed by BUF resin mat drench filtrate for seven days.Bio-oil urea-formaldehyde resin organic mulch mat was no effect on plant growth;the effect of the organic mulch mat on the dust suppression was remarkable(the dust suppression rate is about 80%),and it had a good resistance to cigarette burning.(4)the raw material production cost of the BUF resin used in organic mulch mat was about RMB 1620/t,and the preparation cost of the organic mulch mat was about RMB 4/m2(with a 15 mm thickness).
