Nowadays the dependence on non-renewable energy is increasing,and how to go recycling will be the focus of attention.According to the unique characteristics of mineral resources in Guangxi,the use of artificial ceramic,manganese carbonate tailings formulated into concrete,is not only to achieve the purpose of recycling,but also to take full advantage of its light weight and good insulation characteristics.To some extent,it will be in response to the advocate of "green building",and also have good economic benefits.In this paper,we will use the method of loose volume to research the new materials.The compressive test of 36 cubes is to determine the optimum water-cement ratio;The compressive strength tests of 12 cubes and 12 prism produced of four different substituents of ceramic cement ratio are to explore their physical,mechanical properties and stress-strain curves;The bulk density,moisyure content,hollowness,compressive strength,flexural strength and compressive strength of masonry should be identified by a total of 172 hollow block masonry of four rates of ceramic;Through 12 specimen of four replacements of ceramic,we can achieve the thermal conductivity of materials,but also a comprehensive understanding of their thermal insulation properties.The main results include:(1)Through the trials we can make sure the fit water-cement ratio is 0.45;(2)Adding the ceramic into concrete mixed with manganese carbonate tailings,can significantly reduce its weight.When substitution rate is larger than 50%,it can shows less than 1950 Kg/m3.With the ceramic content is increasing,the strength decreased,which shows a linear relationship;(3)The hollow blocks' density made of new material is smaller than the ordinary,and it's lowest intensity level is MU3.5,but they can be applied to non-load-bearing structure,and the ones less than or equal to 50%may be applied to the load-bearing structure;(4)The compressive strength of hollow block masonry in new material is smaller than the ordinary,but show larger in deform,better in ductility,and also have a higher strength utilization;(5)The concrete made of new material have smaller thermal conductivity than the ordinary over 31.2%,54.2%,68.5%,78.9%,indicating that the incorporation of ceramic leads to the greatly improving of thermal resistance,and it can enhance the overall thermal insulation properties of new materials,and also achieves its self-insulation purpose.
