Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)is a kind of thermoplastic engineering plastics with excellent abrasion resistance,corrosion resistance,shock resistance and self-lubrication.Based on these excellent performance,UHMWPE pipe is a kind of high performance plastic pipe which can be transported by solid,liquid and gas.Many researchers have been working on the reinforcement of plastic pipe.The first,study pipe raw materials,preparation of more excellent pipe raw materials.The second,make a composite pipe.The third,Through the special molding method to achieve the performance of the pipe from strengthening.Compared to the three methods,pipes with self?reinforced processing have low cost,short cycle,high production efficiency and huge potential for development.This article analyzes the structure and performance of UHMWPE,Pure UHMWPE as base material.First,it is modified with small molecule flow modifiers(LP).The addition of small molecule LP not only improves the flow of UHMWPE but also improves the mechanical properties of the material.UHMWPE/LP hybrid system with excellent flow and mechanical properties was finally obtained.The MFR of the UHMWPE/LP hybrid system is 0.2984g/10min.Tensile strength 24.45MPa.The modified formula was 100 parts of UHMWPE,15 parts of LP,and 0.1 parts of antioxidant.And as materials for preparing the modified self-reinforced material UHMWPE pipe.The principle of the modified UHMWPE material selected self-reinforced polymer properties and processing die designed suitable for the preparation of self-reinforced UHMWPE pipe,UHMWPE self-reinforced pipes was successfully prepared using self-designed dies and processing techniques.The effects of tensile expansion temperature and axial stretching ratio on the properties of self-reinforced tubing were studied.The results show:UHMWPE self-reinforced pipe can be successfully prepared at the temperature of 95?-130?,Temperature affects the tensile strength of self-reinforced pipes.In the case where the axial stretching magnification and the circumferential expansion magnification are constant,The axial strength and hoop strength of self-reinforced pipes gradually decrease with increasing temperature.The highest tensile strength of the self-reinforced pipe produced as the temperature of 95?.The axial tensile strength of the self-reinforced pipe is 3 0.25MPa,which is 27.36%higher than that before reinforcement Circular tensile strength of 26.43MPa increased 31.1%over enhancement,Both the axial and circumferential reinforcement of the pipe will influence each other.The intensity of the tensile stress increases with the increase of the stretching ratio.The strength in the direction perpendicular to the stress decreases with the increase of the stretching ratio.The analysis shows that the UHMWPE tube is still the spheroidal structure after self-reinforcing processing,But the crystals are elongated,The formation of spinal microfibers,In addition,the pipe orientation degree increased,melting point were improved.In order to further study UHMWPE self-reinforcing pipe laying foundation.
