Compared with the forming method,the numerical control forming method has high efficiency,high precision and can adapt to the tooth surface of any tooth profile curve,thus the molding process applied to the circular arc profile spiral bevel gear is a better choice.Based on the numerical control forming method,this paper conducts theoretical research and simulation processing on the tooth surface machining of circular arc profile spiral bevel gears,which provides new technical support for China's arc tooth profile spiral bevel gear industry.At present,the processing of this type of gears adopts the development method(no other processing methods are reported),and its advantages are far less than the numerical control forming method.This subject has studied the forming process of circular arc profile spiral bevel gears.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Study the machining principle of numerical control forming method for circular arc profile spiral bevel gears.Using the graphical method and the coordinate transformation method,the mathematical equation of the guiding curve formed by the circular plane curve printed on the pitch cone is solved.It is proved that the circular arc profile spiral bevel gear processed by the forming method conforms to the basic law of tooth profile engagement;(2)According to the machining principle of numerical control forming method,the mathematical model of the tooth surface and tool of the arc tooth profile spiral bevel gear is established.The SOLIDWORKS and MATLAB were used to analyze the contact between the theoretical tooth surface of the bevel gear and the cutting surface of the tool,and the mechanism of overcutting and secondary cutting between the tool surface and the tooth surface was analyzed.(4)Calculate the axial truncated curve of the grinding wheel according to the contact condition between the grinding wheel and the tooth surface and the theoretical tooth surface equation of the arc tooth bevel gear;(5)In the VERICUT,the numerical simulation forming grinding simulation of the arc tooth profile spiral bevel gear is carried out,the error between the simulation machining result and the theoretical tooth surface is 0.01mm,and within the allowable error range,the simulation results prove that the proposed method can realize the machining of this kind of gear with high precision.
