An Empirical Study On The Influencing Factors Of Immigrant Ecological Behavior In Immigration Areas

From 21st century,Chinese central government has set a goal of Ecological Civilization Construction for the sake of huge pressure on environment.Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is an arid region with the worst environment and the largest ratio of poverty people here.From 1980s,about 1 million poverty people have been moving from those worst areas to the better ones by the cost of 10 billion yuan.They were called ecological migrants.So,it is very important to know which factors will take effect on the decision of their ecological behaviors.This will be helpful for achieving the goal of ecological civilization whatever from theoretical and practical sides.The issue of ecological environment has received more and more attention from the government.For this reason,the central government has proposed the goal of ecological civilization construction.This paper takes the ecological behavior of ecological immigrants in Ningxia as the research object,and uses Probit model and Tobit model to study the influencing factors and its mechanism of ecological migration.The study found that:Firstly,the current level of ecological knowledge of farmers in the immigrant area is low,and the ecological behavior is not so perfect,but the level of ecological awareness is relatively good.Secondly,ecological knowledge and ecological institution have a significant role in promoting the ecological behavior of farmers.Although ecological awareness has a role,it is relatively weak.Thirdly,in addition to the level of education,the impact of the demographic characteristics of immigrants on the ecological behavior of farmers is not significant.Last but not least,ecological awareness has a partial mediating effect on ecological knowledge affecting ecological behavior,while ecological system has a significant positive adjustment effect on ecological knowledge and ecological awareness.Therefore,if we want to guide farmers to implement ecological behavior,we need to further improve the ecological institution and strengthen its external restraint.In the long run,we must improve people's cognitive level through education and knowledge dissemination,and strengthen self-restraint,thus promoting beautiful rural construction.
