Self-healing polymer materials have caused the wide attention of researchers all over the world duo to their built-in ability to repair the physical damage,they can effectively prevent catastrophic accidents and prolong the using time of the material.The physical damage that need repaired can be mechanical deformation leading to fracture,chemical corrosion,radiation degradation and so on.In order to deepen the research and application of the intrinsic self-healing polymers.In this paper,A series of functional small molecules compounds synthesized from furfural,a renewable resources.Then Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer polymerization(RAFT)or synthetic polyurethane by using these small molecules.Finally,polymers with repair properties were prepared by cross linking reaction and then use Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)confirmed that these polymers have good repair properties.The main contents of this paper include:1.A series of furfuryl acrylate-based small molecule compounds were prepared based on the Baylis-Hillman reaction by using furfural as the raw material.Through the study of Reversible Addition-Fracture Chain Transfer polymerization(RAFT).First,we desigend the synthesis of trithioarpate as a RAFT reagent,then furfuryl methacrylate was subjected to RAFT polymerization and finally crosslinked with bismaleimide(BMI)at different ratios to obtain a crosslinked polymer.We did a performance test on synthetic polymers,such as heat,solvent resistance and repair efficiency and other related performance test.The study found that when the F / M ratio of 2/1,the best repair efficiency was achieved,and the repair rate can reach85%.After repeated self-repair test,Indicating that the prepared polymer can be repaired several times at the same site of injury.2.Furfural acrylate as raw material,two polyurethanes were obtained by reaction with TDI and HDI,Then crosslinked with bismaleimide to obtain crosslinked polyurethane PU-1 and PU-2.We did a performance test on synthetic polymers,such as heat,solvent resistance and repair efficiency and other related performance test.PU-1 and PU-2 have good high temperature resistance,both of which have higherglass transition temperature.In terms of self-repairing performance,these two cross-linked polyurethane have a good repair performance.After 5 hours of thermal repair,repair efficiency can reach 88% and 85%.3.A novel functional group containing two hydroxyl groups was prepared by using 5-hydroxymethylfurfural as raw material,and then polyurethane was synthesized with TDI and HDI.Finally,two kinds of Self-healing polymers were obtained by cross-linking with bismaleimide(BMI),named PU-3 and PU-4.These two kinds of polymers have good thermal properties and anti-solvent effect.By repair performance research finding that the two kinds of crosslinked polyurethanes have good repair performance,and the repair rate can reach 91% And 95%.Compared with PU-1 and PU-2,the repair rate was significantly improved.
