Silica-filled SSBR has the lower rolling resistance,which is the major component of the "green tire" tread rubber.The rice husk silica(RHS),extracted from the agricultural waste,not only improved the performance of SSBR it filled,but also reduced waste landfill.It's energy saving and environmental protection.Three kinds of RHS(K160,K175,K2000)and a common silica ZX955 were selected in this paper.The microstructure of silica were compared,and also about the properties of SSBR it filled.RHS has less surface hydroxyl groups and richer pore structure.The SSBR it filled get higher bound rubber cotent,better mechanical propertiesand silane coupling agent modification effect.RHS/SSBR has better anti-slip performance and lower rolling resistance.ZX955 and K160 were modified by four different coupling agents(Si69,Si75,KH550,KH792),and the vulcanization characteristics,physical and mechanical properties,dynamic mechanical properties of SSBR has been studied.The SSBR filled with K160 has higher strength.The SSBR,filled with modified silica,get better mechanical properties and anti-slip performance,and the Payne effect of it were weaken.The SSBR modified by two coupling agents have higher bound rubber content,larger rebound resilience,poor wear resistance,and better anti-slip performance.The rubber modified by Si69/KH550 has the highest tensile strength,and the rubber modified by Si75/KH550 has longest elongation at break and highest tear strength.Finally,in the filler system of N330/ZX955 and N330/K160,the effect of carbon black/silica ratio on the performance of SSBR were studied.The SSBR filled with N330/K160 get better mechanical properties.With the increase of silica content,the tensile strength decreases,and the elongation at break and tear strength increase first and then decrease.When the carbon black/silica ratio is 30/30,the elongation atbreak and the tear strength reach a maximum.The addition of silica can improve the anti-slip performance of SSBR,and reduce the rolling resistance.
