Aluminium and its alloys are widely used in building,electric power,transportation,mechanical equipment and other industries.Cold rolling is the key process for product performance,precision and quality control in aluminum strip rolling production.Therefore,cold rolling mills play an important role.Anyway,domestically made high-end mills only take less than 25% of the total shares in Chinese high-end cold mill market,while the remaining is still occupied by foreign advanced manufacturers such as Siemag,Danieli,Fata Hunter and etc.Domestic equipment upgrade is imminent.This paper introduces the basic principles of cold rolling and the classification of rolling mills.Through the research on the main equipment and production process,the problems in production operation are pointed out,that is,the equipment automation is low and the production assistant time is long;Individual important parts and components cannot guarantee the efficient production.This paper introduces an ideal cold rolling mill with automatic coil loading equipment,spool manipulator and online edge trimmer.Meanwhile,it describes how bend-roll oil cylinders are improved to upgrade the manufacturing process and maintenance problems;how splash shield and blow-off unit is improved to reduce oil residuals on products;how exit ironing roll is improved to optimize working condition and how belt wrapper bushings are improved and the belt quick replace device is optimized to improve the use effect and maintenance efficiency.The optimized cold rolling mill has passed feedback in actual production by reducing production assistant time,improving working efficiency,satisfying all relevant product indicators.With convenient maintenance and rapid recover precision,it ensures a better production efficiency in rolling process.Through this improvement and optimization,it provides a reference for upgrade of cold rolling mill,which is of great significance for improving the quality of aluminum strip products.
