Mineral resource is an important factor in the human existence and social development,providing material basis for developing national economy and ensuring national security.Furthermore,the utilization of metal mineral plays an key role in accelerating national economic development.However,there still exists some limitations,such as inadequate available deposit,less total resources and per capita possession which far below the international average.Therefore,it is urgent to improve the resource recovery rate,mining effectiveness and sorting recovery rate of metal mineral under the conditional of deposit shortage.The ore body in Langyashan Copper Mine is characteristic of small scale,multiple quantity,complex form and recovery challenge.Especially,there are large amount of residual ore body reserved as top pillars in the initial mining process with upward horizontal filling mining method.However,small-size approach mining and full approach cement filling method was used as the main mining method with low effectiveness and high filling cost.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize the mining process and upgrade the mining technology,which was studied in this paper.The layout of top pillar and potential problems were analyzed with some methods including site investigation,field measurement,and numerical simulation.the idea was proposed that mining process should be oriented towards expanding the approach and partially filling.Taking top pillars reserved at-245 m as example,the influence of size of approach and the filling sequence on roof deformation and subsidence was studied.The results showed that the size of approach should be expanded to 5 m for a optimized mining process.Besides.The interval filling theory was applied in the mining process of top pillar 6-1 reserved at-245 m,providing a reference for mines to improve mining effectiveness of top pillar and lower the filling cost.
