With the rapid entry of private capital and foreign enterprises,stainless steel enterprises are facing the risk of surplus production,low market demand and low profit margins.All enterprises paid attention to reduce cost of stainless steel products and improved production efficiency.They all take measures in importing advanced information system and establishing flexible and efficient production line.TISCO is the world's largest stainless steel production enterprise.There are six stainless steel production lines which are different in production costs.The key factors of competition and profit are the production efficiency of low cost production line which is the basis of resources allocation.The thesis mainly analyzes the efficiency problems of production of steel-making plant of TISCO and provides the improvement measures.Low efficiency bottleneck process,unreasonable production logistics and lack of necessary production control and management system are mainly problem.Firstly,it is useful to find the bottleneck according to the theory of constraints,Six Sigma statistical tool and technology of steel smelting.Secondly,it is important to analyze the layout of production equipment and logistics route according to the lean theory.Finally,it is necessary to establish monitoring and management system.Through optimization and improvement to production line,the efficiency was improved and cost was reduced.
