NO is the signaling molecule that possess very important functions in biological systems.Since it is a free radical molecule with a short life-time,the detection of NO has become a critical issue in the fieldand the fluorescent probes have attracted much attention in the detection of NO due to its advantages. In this paper, the preparation and properties of gold nano-clusters,silver nano-clusters,and novel original nitric oxide fluorescent probes were studied. The gold clusters and silver clusters emitting red fluorescence under UV light were prepared using BSA as template, and also used for the detection of NO.Due to the damage of BSA-Au NCs structure caused by the interaction between NO and BSA,the PL intensity of BSA-Au NCs regularly reduced with the increase of NO concentration. The selectivity, sensitivity and feasibility of the BSA-Au NCs and BSA-Ag NCs nitric oxide fluorescent probes were studied, and the linear ranges and detection limits were obtained.A novel NO fluorescent probe was prepared by loading BSA-Au NCs onto poly(lactic acid)fiber. The fluorescent probe emitted redfluorescence under UV and showed excellent selectivity and sensitivity towards NO.Furthermore,a novel original NO fluorescent probe was synthesized based on the reaction of aromatic diamine compounds with NO,and a conjugated system with a new six membered triazine-like ring was formed. The 2-(o-aminophenyl)-benzimidazole was synthesized using o-diaminobenzene and o-diaminobenzoic acid methyl ester as reactants. The 2-(o-aminophenyl)-benzimidazole and 1,8-diaminonaphthalene which has similar structure with 2-(o-aminophenyl)-benzimidazole were also feasible to detect NO.
