In the modern society,as the environmental factors during the pregnancy period,nutrition and health of pregnant women are crucial to the growth and development of fetuses,and to the mothers themselves.For understand the pregnant nutrition condition and health status and improve the nutritional status of local pregnant women in Furong District,Changsha,China,the present study firstly investigated the pregnant women's knowledge of nutrition and their nutrition condition by questionnaire survey.In detail,we selected 250 pregnant women in this area,and finally collected the data of 228;among which,we selected 30 early pregnancies,30 midtrimesters,and 30 late pregnancies for further 24 h dietary investigation,to study the relationships between pregnant diseases,BMI and the intake of phytochemicals.Besides,we performed dietary intervention of selected typical phytochemicals to the 90 pregnancies by suggestions of sulforaphane,curcumin,and EGCG.The results showed that:(1)The awareness of knowledge about nutrition of pregnant women were generally low,different culture and different income levels of pregnant women differs the nutrition knowledge awareness significantly,with the increase of pregnant women culture degree and income level,the awareness of nutrition knowledge is raised;Family members of pregnant women are also generally low of nutrition knowledge,and their husbands have higher rate of knowledge than their parents.(2)All pregnant women in the dietary energy intake during pregnancy is adequate,but the intake of protein,vitamins,minerals existence insufficiency,and most of the pregnant women without reasonable nutrition supplement for pregnancy changes;due to the low awareness rate of parents' nutrition knowledge,all the dietary structures that lead to some pregnant women are even more unhealthy,showing that they are forced to consume excessive amounts of high fat and high energy,as well as excessive protein intake.Therefore,the diet structure of pregnant women needs to be improved.(3)The relationship between BMI of pregnant women and gestational diseases is that,if the BMI of pregnant women is too high(BMI?25),it might cause the morbidity of gestational hypertension,gestational diabetes mellitus and macrosomia;if the BMI is too low(BMI?21),it might cause congenital heart disease for fetuses of pregnant women.(4)The relationship between BMI and the intake of phytochemical is that,the increase of the consumption of fruits and vegetables and the ADI of dietary fiber can effectively reduce the BMI of pregnant women.(5)The results of dietary investigation showed that the increase of fruit and vegetable intake was negatively correlated with the incidence of pregnancy in pregnant women.A reasonable increase in the intake of fruits and vegetables,which are rich in plant compounds,can help to reduce the incidence of pregnancy in pregnant women by significantly lowering the BMI of pregnant women.Based on the above results,we can preliminary conclusions,in the choice of a balanced diet of pregnant women,in addition to guarantee the traditional nutritional needs,it is necessary to recommend the right amount to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables that are rich in plant compounds,such not only can control the BMI,also can significantly reduce the incidence of disease during pregnancy,in order to promote women's and children's health.
