In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards, people's awareness of healthy eating has been increasing, and food safety has become one of the most concerned issues.Food safety issues are closely related to the health of the general public.Testing your daily diet is the most effective step to avoid eating harmful foods.Near infrared spectroscopy has been widely used as a key technique in food detection. However, the traditional near-infrared spectroscopy detection equipment is large in size, high in cost and complex in operation,so it can only be used in the laboratory and cannot be popularized in people's daily life. Therefore, this paper uses a near-infrared spectroscopy sensor to design a portable food detector. The food detector designed in this paper consists of a near-infrared spectrum data acquisition module,a data processing module and a communication module, and a matching Android APP is developed for the detector, which makes the detector easier to operate and upgrade. The detector uses the microprocessor STM32F103 as the data processing module, and uses the digital multi-channel near-infrared spectroscopy sensor AS7263 as the acquisition module of the food near-infrared spectral data, and the Bluetooth device HC-05 as the communication module to communicate with the Android APP.In this paper, two application examples of this detector are designed, which are the identification of fruits and vegetables and the detection of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables. In the application of fruit and vegetable identification, six common fruits and vegetables such as grapes, tomatoes, carrots, oranges, apples and dates were used as experimental samples, and the random forest algorithm was used to train the sample data to generate a fruit and vegetable recognition model. The accuracy of the model identification was verified to be 98.3%.In the application of pesticide residue detection for fruits and vegetables, carrots were used as experimental vegetables, and beta cypermethrin emamectin benzoate was used as experimental pesticides.Support vector machine algorithm was used to train the sample data to generate a pesticide identification model for fruits and vegetables. After verification, the accuracy of this model in identifying carrots without pesticide and carrots that have just been coated with pesticides was 90%,and that of identifying carrots without pesticide and carrots have been coated with pesticides for 24 hours was 81.25%.The two applications of fruit and vegetable species identification and pesticide residue detection indicate that the portable food detector based on near-infrared spectroscopy sensor designed in this paper can not only guide people to eat healthy food in daily life, but also upgrade and expand the food detection function of the detector by updating the Android APP.
