Recent years,the number of vehicles has shown an exponential increase,and emissions generated by vehicles has become a major source of atmospheric environmental pollution in China.The arterial highways occupy a critical position in transportation,and its emissions are also significant increasingly.To evaluate emissions accurately,we propose an effective method that combines intelligent transportation technology with vehicle emission models to achieve the purpose of controlling the pollution on the main road.Based on the study of the traffic simulation and the MOVES model algorithm,the thesis designs a set of automatic emission calculation system to realize the calculation of vehicles real-time emissions on the arterial highways.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:First,we compare the models to select the appropriate traffic simulation model and emission calculation model.Based on the characteristics of every model,an automatic vehicle emission calculation framework is designed.The data of the components and their relationships are shown in the framework structure,and the various components and their functions in the framework are described in detail.Second,to design a method of automatic emission calculation combined with traffic simulation,we analyze the algorithm of MOVES model deeply,including the analysis of the vehicle type classification method,calculation principle and input parameters.In addition,we conduct the sensitivity analyses of the main parameters to study the influence of various parameters on emissions.Third,targeting the designed framework of the vehicle emissions evaluation,we analyze it's structure and process.From the simulation modeling,data output,data processing,data storage,and the design of the emission automatic calculation method,the detailed implementation process and each step of the flow are presented,and finally the calculation results are presented in the output interface.Finally,based on the design process of emissions automatic calculation,we take a section of the typical national road as an example to build simulation model and output data.Finally,the calculation results of the simulation section are obtained.Comparing the calculated results of emissions with the calculated results of the MOVES model,the accuracy of the automatic calculation results is verified and the feasibility of the method is also verified.In addition,the analysis result of pollutant sharing rate of different vehicle types provides a data reference for controlling the emission of pollutants effectively from different kinds of vehicles.The design method combining microscopic traffic simulation with emission calculation provides an effective way for the calculation of vehicle emissions from arterial highways,and is also an advanced technology for intelligent traffic to control the development direction of environmental pollution,which provides a reliable basis for formulating control measures for vehicle emissions.
